Almost at every point in a relationship a couple will experience difficulties. There is a saying in Buddhism ‘if you think you are enlightened go and live with someone’. Sharing your life with another person can be the most rewarding experience of anyone’s life. However at times feelings can become different and can over time lead to anger, resentment, isolation, and even hatred. I have found that the people in the relationship are okay but it is the relationship that needs help.
At counselling both parties will be treated equally and there will be no judgment or blame. We work together as a group to mutually develop the relationship into where a couple want to develop.

Under certain circumstances some health insurers cover counselling. Counselling does not go on forever but how long the sessions continue is completely determined by each person. Each person is unique and must be treated this way, it is why counselling works, and it is not a quick fix. It involves finding your unique path to a better way of living. My fee is €60 per session.
My clients come from all over the region including Dungarvan, Waterford City, Kilmeaden, Tipperary, Clonmel, Youghal, Lismore, Cappoquin, Tallow, New Ross, Mallow and Fermoy. If you are experiencing difficulties in these areas and you would like to talk about them in a safe and non judgemental way please contact Michael Fitzgerald at the Dungarvan Counselling Centre.
